Looking back on my wedding day, there are many things that went exactly as I had hoped and expected and some things that I would have done differently. Bob was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process - helping me navigate rental items, finding creative ways to shave dollars off the budget here and there, etc... There a not enough words to describe how pleased I am with Chef Bob and his incredible team! We had him cater a family wedding and as with all things COVID plans were continually changing and Bob was more than accommodating and willing to adjust to the ever-ongoing daily changes that came up. He was incredibly easy to communicate with and was very prompt with reply’s and answering any and all the questions we had. With regards the food, it truly was nothing short of exceptional! To this day the guests have raved about the meal served and have continually said that they've never had a better beef tenderloin. In fact all of the food from the hor d'oeuvres, to the entrees to the deserts, everything was delectable and so skillfully prepared.
Not only did the food beyond exceed our expectations but the servers and the level of professionalism of Bobs team was very impressive and we couldn’t have been more pleased. I can say with 110% certainty that the service we were provided by Bob was truly unmatched. Without a doubt hiring Bob to cater the wedding was the best decision made, and we couldn’t have been more fortunate to have such a skilled chef prepare the food for us on such a special day for our family. He was extremely flexible with all of my COVID changes, going from 175 people to 50 to 25, he didn’t bat an eye, even two weeks before when we completely changed venues, he had no problem with that & made it work perfectly. I came across gourmet chef at your table online and I am so happy that I did! Bob came and cooked for us in May so that we could sample our wedding meal with our parents before our big special day in September! The whole experience was absolutely amazing. Bob created each dish with elegance and passion. From the burst of flavour to the small elegant touch of garnish everything was absolutely perfect. We spent most of the night laughing about how none of us could cook in comparison to the perfectly finished meals. Bob is a fabulous cook but also an amazing person. We wanted something special to celebrate our mother's 90th birthday and Chef Bob absolutely delivered. He and his team took over the kitchen and worked their magic while we enjoyed family and friends (a total of 22 people).
We started with appetizers that were over the top delicious served by a certified professional who took his job seriously with just the right amount of humour. From there our seated 3 course meal was splendid. Everyone was impressed but more importantly relaxed and enjoying an intimate celebratory gathering. When Chef Bob and his team left (shout out to Tom for cooking his heart out as well), the kitchen was spotless and there was no indication of the event that had taken place. And on top of being professional they allowed us to watch as they created while chatting with us like old friends. It was so comfortable. I can't thank Bob enough for helping us give our mother the birthday celebration she deserved! He made it so special.

My friends and I were looking for a nice intimate night celebrating our husbands birthdays and when our plans changed last minute we decided that having a nice meal at home would be perfect. Bob was very professional and responsive throughout the entire process. He was there to answer any questions we had regarding the menu and was very flexible in accommodating our small group of six people. I am speaking for all 6 of us when I say we enjoyed every last bite of our appetizers, salads and mains. We all really enjoyed the experience because Bob made it easy for us to enjoy our night rather than spending it in the kitchen. Bob brought all of his own dinnerware, glasses etc and there was no cleaning up after our meal. He left the kitchen probably cleaner than what he found it and was very easy to get along with. All of our food was cooked to perfection and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night celebrating the birthdays together. Picking our caterer for our wedding was not easy. We wanted to give an experience to our guest that they had not experienced before at other weddings. We talked to few other caterer's but it wasn't to our expectations. I had found Chef Bob on a website for vendors and received an email, and a call from him. My fiancé and I felt we hit the jackpot after we got off the phone with him and were really excited.
We had changed our minds a few times on the things we wanted to serve, change in the vegan menu and sides, etc. Chef Bob was very patient with us and accommodating! We recently had our menu tasting and he blew the crowd away with his professionalism, cleanliness, wine pairings, presentation of the dishes, and how everything tasted. I never had such good wine with my meal ever in my life before Chef Bob! He presents unique dishes (the beet/sweet potato & avocado salad is out of this world), but also the classic caesar salad but elevated. We had our menu tasting at my mothers place, and it didn't even look like it happen because they cleaned up so well! From this experience, we are definitely using Chef Bob as our caterer and will be using him anytime we want to learn more from him, or need some sort of caterer. Good job Chef Bob & Thomas, you did a phenomenal job... we still dream about the food many days after it was that good.

I have been to two dinner parties. They were both exceptionally AMAZING. One was a BBQ Theme and one was The Chefs Table. They were both fun and easy going atmosphere to learn and enjoy cooking in the Kitchen or on the grill. The tips and tricks you can do in your own home are awesome to impress your friends at the next dinner party you host. Looking forward to the next time I get to learn from Chef Bob Friesen
